As part of its dissemination activities, the NEARCTIS Network of Excellence organizes and sponsors workshops and training schools on traffic modeling and traffic management with emphasis on cooperative and GNSS systems. The main objectives of these activities are two-fold: on the one hand, there is a need to start to deliver training activities that bring together researchers from different backgrounds and institutions, promoting the consolidation of a NEARCTIS community whilst providing valuable information on these experiences to direct and inform future training activities; on the other hand, to address specific problems that traffic management-related projects are dealing with and explore possible solutions the cooperative systems may offer at the technological and methodological level.
